Staying on a house boat in Abel Tasman
Having to take a water taxi to your accommodation is always a good sign. After an adventurous ride with a childish and daring driver, who almost keeled over the boat, we arrived at a paradise bay called Anchorage.
This house boat has got to be one of my favorite places to stay during my time in New Zealand.
As soon as I got on to the boat, I but my bikini on, climbed up to the roof and cracked open a beer. BBQ for dinner, lots of beers and fun times with the other people on the boat, there was some skinny dipping in the sea-fire…
A day was also spent on that amazing beach, that felt more like being on some small paradise island somewhere in south east asia or the caribbean.

What an awesome post – short and to the point 🙂
Have some many questions – is it expensive to get this “house boat”? how do you even get it? Airbnb? Do you have Wifi there :)?

Thank you!
Oh, I guess I should write some more details in the post haha. It’s a floating hostel!
You can get all the info in their webpage – http://www.aquapackers.co.nz 🙂
No wi-fi, though

What a perfect way to stay in New Zealand. Unfortunately I didn’t get a chance to see this part of New Zealand although I spent a month there, it wasn’t enough! Great idea, I shall look into it next time!
