This is where I first traveled alone. This is where I discovered my wanderlust and my love for solo travel. This is where I fell in love with getting lost.
When I arrived at the airport in Girona, everyone, except me and a pilot, took the busses to Barcelona. After a long while, our little bus came to take us to Girona.
I stayed at the Hotel Gran Ultonia, a short walk from the old part of Girona. I only had two days there, but they were perfect days with sunshine and perfect heat. Both days, I just walked around in the old town. Enjoying every second. It is so beautiful!
I had beer with a couple of locals at an irish pub my last night there. They came up to me and asked if they could join. This felt amazing, I thought that this would have never happened if I had not traveled alone. That strangers would come up to me for other than flirting was new to me. We had a very nice night at the pub, and I left that night with a smile ion my face.
The first thing I did when I got back home, was to book another solo trip.
