Natal

Ponta Negra

We stayed at Hotel Pousada O Tempo e o Vento in Ponta Negra, Natal. It was located just by the 3 km long beach that was crowded with people. I have to be brutally honest and admit that this area was too touristy. It felt a lot like the canary islands of Spain during high season.. I feel like I didn’t get a genuine feeling of Brazil – like everything was made for tourists.

But I have to say that I did love the Morro do Careca – a huge, 120 m high sand dune, perfect for sand boarding.

The highlights of the Brazilian trip was basically everything but the place where we stayed. Next time I’ll go to Brazil, I won’t feel too tempted to go back to that area, I have to say. But I can’t wait to explore Rio de Janeiro with my very good, swedish/brazilian, friend as a guide. Showing me the real way of Brazil.
