Hurghada

I have snorkeled in Thailand, Brazil, Mediterranean and nothing has been even close to the crystal clear water in the red sea. It was like swimming in an enormous swimmingpool.

We stayed at Triton Empire Beach Resort, right on a private little beach.

One day we went to the national park of Giftun Island for some sunbathing, relaxing and snorkeling, followed by a trip out to a coral reef that blew my mind. I had a hard time focusing though, since there was another boat 100-200 meters away with big letters on the side, “Shark diving”, with people diving… Apparently they were just practicing diving, but I’m a coward when it comes to the big ocean and sharks.

Another day we drove straight into the desert on a four-wheeler each, stopping by a beduin camp for lunch. It was very interesting to see and learn about how the beduins in the desert lived. Then we drove home filled up with energy to speed a bit more.

This was so much fun! For me who doesn’t have  a drivers license, and had never even driven a scooter before, it was such a rush to drive through the desert with no rules, speeding up for the sand dunes to fly a bit.
