Barra de Cunhaú & Curimataú river

Barra de Cunhaú & Curimataú river

We started out in a small fishing village, Barra de Cunhaú, taking a boat onto the river surrounded with wild beaches and swamps. We got to see how the brazilians caught the incredible mud crabs, by sticking in their arms into the deep crab holes in the ground, with their bare hands.

We were offered to try their mud mask, which was just.. The mud from the bottom of the river. We also stopped by a beach and had the chance to completely cover ourselves with the mud. Oh, how tourists are easily fooled! It was fun though! Then we were also offered to buy a small bucket of the mud for a very high price. My parents of ours bought one….
